Award Winning Private Party Space

As part of one of our large residential projects, Ribble AV was proud to undertake the AV and automation of this incredible party space of this beautiful home. This included a super high quality audio system, video distribution, lighting and heating control. We were delighted to win Artcoustic’s prestigious ‘installation of the month’ award with this project.

Client Brief and Project Scope

This project came as part of a system takeover from another AV and integration project after client relations had broken down. This space and the cinema room were the last two rooms of this home to be completed.

The client had requested for high quality, but consistent audio across the entire space and a large TV installation whilst not detracting from the spectacular interior design scheme from MYO Studio. We were to also carry on their homes existing lighting and heating control system through to this space to allow for simple control of the under floor heating, air conditioning and vast amount of lighting circuits in the space.

Challenges and Solutions

The space presented several technical challenges. The main challenge being that we were brought into this project at the very last minute, and the room had been fully decorated, before we had chance to cable the space for our system. Fortunately, due to the space’s construction and speaker locations and our incredible team of engineers, we managed to cable for the entire AV system without any damage to the delicate spray finished walls and ceilings.

The other main challenge was how to provide consistent, super high quality sound across the entire space, without impacting taking away from the interior design scheme. Working with our partners Artcoustic, we designed a system consisting of no less than 10 small surface mounted speakers across the main space, a sound bar width matched to the 77” LG Gallery series TV and three subwoofers hidden within furniture across the space. This resulted in providing an incredible sound experience across the entire space, without any areas being too loud or too quiet, which can only be achieved by carrying out an in depth design process from the beginning.

Automation and Control

With over 50 lighting circuits, 3 zones of heating, and a dedicated air conditioning zone, we expanded on the home’s existing KNX system. We design, built and commissioned a brand new lighting control panel for this area of the home which has seamlessly integrated into the existing home. This allows for the entire space to be set to the perfect mood at the touch of a single button on one of the numerous control keypads, Control4 touchscreen or mobile app.

The music is simply controlled via Sonos.

Results and Client Success

The end result is nothing short of incredible. This project stands as a testament to our team's technical and engineering dedication and expertise, especially given the challenge of installing this system after the room was complete and the scope of work undertaken. The client has now had many parties in this space since completion and has always blown their guests away.
