‘Awesome’ Screen

Based in Irlam, Manchester, Awesome have been tuning, improving and servicing Volkswagen Audi auto group cars for over 30 years. Awesome’s ethos has always been very much about giving the most to the customer, which is reflected in their new cutting-edge premises.

With this ethos in mind, Ribble AV was approached by Awesome for a large format video wall for their new showroom.

Client Brief and Project Scope

Awesome’s premises had undergone a major upgrade and refurbishment. We were approached to supply and install a large format video wall, to allow them to display products and services, without cluttering their stunning new show space. This had to be super simple for on site staff to manage the on screen content.

Challenges and Solutions

The original request from the client was to build the video wall up of either 4 or 6 multiple, separate displays. However, after discussing with client about the complexities of managing the content on each of these screens and how the final product would look, we recommended for the most effective and simple result would be to install a single, large format LED screen which can show any content they require from a single digital signage interface.

Content Control

We linked the screen to a single digital signage player, which allows staff to change the screens content from a simple and easy to use web interface. This has allowed staff to create and show pages of product information, offered services, YouTube videos and customer and supplier welcome messages.

Results and Client Success

The end result surpassed our client's expectations. The screen is the finishing touch to Awesome’s incredible show room space. It has the ‘WOW’ factor the client was looking for when customers visit, and allows for a super clutter free space, with being able to show and demonstrate product on the screen, as opposed to numerous racks full of physical product.
